Week 27: February 27 - March 3

Dear Wynn Families,

Please review the information below for important updates.

  • Monday, February 27th, students will be taking their spring pictures.  Flyers were sent home last week for families to purchase pictures.  Please call the school at (702) 799-8160, if you have any questions.

  • This week is Nevada Reading week.  Please encourage your child to read each day this week and participate in the dress up days.

  • Beginning Monday, February 27th through Friday, March 10th, the school will be hosting the Scholastic Book Fair.  Families may send money with their student or may attend with their student after school from 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM.  If you choose to take your child to the book fair, you must park in the church parking lot and then enter the school through the main office.

  • We have created a google form that families can use to turn in a note.  The form link can be found on our school website under the “Parent” tab.  Families simply click on the link that says “Submit Attendance Note”.  Families may still turn in notes in the front office as well.  The link can also be found below:

  • February 28th is the last day to order a yearbook.  Families can purchase the yearbook online using the link below.  The school code to purchase the yearbook online is WynnYB23.

  • Mark your calendars for the following upcoming events:

    • March 9th and 10th, Disney Musical:  Join us in the Wynn ES MPR at 6:00 PM to see our students perform Aladdin.  Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in the main office.  Tickets are first come first serve and may sell out quickly.

    • March 10th, End of 3rd Quarter:  Teachers will be sending home progress reports on this day.

    • March 13th - March 17th, Spring Break:  There will be now school this week due to Spring Break.  Classes resume March 20th.

    • March 22nd, School Organization Meeting:  There will be a virtual SOT meeting at 4:30 PM.

    • March 27th - April 6th, SBAC Testing:  Students in grades 3-5 will be testing these two weeks.  It is imperative all students show up each day ready to do their best as the results of the assessment help guide the support students need to improve their learning.

Por favor revise la siguiente información para actualizaciones importantes.

  • El lunes 27 de febrero, los estudiantes tomarán sus fotos de primavera. La semana pasada se enviaron volantes a casa para que las familias comprarán fotografías. Llame a la escuela al (702) 799-8160 si tiene alguna pregunta.

  • Esta semana es la semana de lectura de Nevada. Anime a su hijo a leer todos los días de esta semana y participar en los días de disfraces.

  • Desde el lunes 27 de febrero hasta el viernes 10 de marzo, la escuela organizará la Feria del Libro Scholastic. Las familias pueden enviar dinero con su estudiante o pueden asistir con su estudiante después de la escuela de 3:15 p. m. a 4:00 p. m. Si decide llevar a su hijo a la feria del libro, debe estacionarse en el estacionamiento de la iglesia y luego ingresar a la escuela por la oficina principal.

  • Hemos creado un formulario de Google que las familias pueden usar para entregar una nota. El enlace del formulario se puede encontrar en el sitio web de nuestra escuela en la pestaña "Padres". Las familias simplemente hacen clic en el enlace que dice "Enviar nota de asistencia". Las familias también pueden entregar notas en la oficina principal. El enlace también se puede encontrar a continuación:

  • El 28 de febrero es el último día para pedir un anuario. Las familias pueden comprar el anuario en línea usando el enlace a continuación. El código de la escuela para comprar el anuario en línea es WynnYB23.

  • Marque sus calendarios para los siguientes eventos próximos:

    • 22 de marzo, Reunión de Organización Escolar: Habrá una reunión virtual de SOT a las 4:30 p.m.

    • 27 de marzo - 6 de abril, Exámenes SBAC: Los estudiantes en los grados 3-5 estarán tomando exámenes estas dos semanas. Es imperativo que todos los estudiantes se presenten todos los días listos para dar lo mejor de sí mismos, ya que los resultados de la evaluación ayudan a guiar el apoyo que los estudiantes necesitan para mejorar su aprendizaje.
